About Pater Familias

What

Pater-Familias.com takes father-blogging to a higher level of challenge, the School-Age Child. All the easy laughs — poopoo, no more sex, brain damage from the Wiggles — are long gone. But the kids still need us, more than ever, even while they’re doing their damndest not to. They’re learning to deceive, getting good at it, too. And remembering. Sobering thought: What you do today, may still piss off Junior when you’re dead.

Mike, a/k/a Pater Familias

Why

The Pater Familias creed:

  • “Daddy” is man’s highest honorific.
  • Live up to it. Love it. Affirm it.
  • No whining. No wanking. No mugging or straining for effect.
  • No nothing to discomfit child or spouse.
