DreamWorks HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON 3-D

How To Train Your Dragon Pic

Take young 'uns, pop, and get grins, too. Pater did, along with Minerva, at beguiling kid flick about a nerdy Viking boy named Hiccup, who saves and domesticates a dragon, flying in the face of local dragon-killer tradition. Our seven-year-old Girl Child full-on loved it, in large part because she had a tough girl to root for, the boy's crush interest Astrid. Don't worry about the schlurpy, entirely predictable kid flick message -- that dragons can be our friends -- it doesn't screw up the entertainment,  especially flying scenes amped-up by spectacular 3-D effects. Swear you can feel the Gs and wind through your fur Viking outfit. Fun every which way, as animations that go for art cred and meaning -- think Wall-E and Up -- are not. Rated PG.
